My Rug Wool comes from New Zealand. It is a blend of the Romney cross fleece which has the correct structure for rugs, carpets and soft furnishings. It is custom spun to my specifications for the purpose of rug making by hand and hand tufting. I have knitted blankets and soft furnishings with my rug wool. It is also suitable for weaving.
I dye my wool by hand in small batches, and I often achieve tonal variations which create a wonderful result when made into a rug. Natural dyes may vary according to the source of the plants. All colours may vary from what you see, due to different screens and filters. For all of these reasons it makes sense to order the wool for the entire rug in one purchase.
Care Instructions hand wash with a Ph neutral wool mix, such as Martha Gardeners’ Wool Mix.
